To cleanse and rest the digestive system our ancient rishis started this ceelbration.It is not just to cleanse ,it has multiple benefits.
We celebrate - upavasa on that day.Upa means proximity and vasa means dwelling.dwelling to greater proximity to God is -upavasa.
And the day is most suited to do this.
After this a very meaningful diet has been prescribed which fulfills all nutrients necessary after fasting.

God made many things

All things small and big,ugly and beautiful have been around for centuries and will be.

Did they just come into being or did some one make them ? Life is a wonder and it will continue to be so.

If a rose has thorns it is how God made it ,but it also so welcoming just as other beautiful things but a lotus stands for serenity so on,life is a big wonder.

If you look at a mountain invincible then you feel the presence of a super power -may be God.

Can a mountain be termed God ?

You can break up or destory a mountain so can we break up God ?

So either change the description of God or don't call a mountain God,call a mountain -a mountain.

Can you find God in a hermitage ? Do they teach you the method to reach God ?

THe nature around is so beautiful,can we say that beauty is God ?
